  1. MCBASE V1.x registration information.
  2.  
  3.  
  4. MCBASE version 1.x is a relational database system to support
  5. music collectors and to assist them in managing their collec-
  6. tion.
  7.  
  8. MCBASE is using 100% dBase III(+) compatible .DBF- & .DBT-
  9. files, the industry's standard, to process your data. This
  10. means that your data is stored in a transparent manner and
  11. always transferable to other applications.
  12.  
  13. The copy of MCBASE, marked "SHAREWARE version", it is NOT free
  14. software! You may use this copy of the MCBASE database system
  15. for a period of 30 DAYS, to determine if it meets your needs.
  16. After this trial period you must register (buy) your copy at
  17. the given address (see below) OR STOP using this software.
  18.  
  19. When ordering MCBase, you can request it to be more specifi-
  20. cally adapted to your hardware. You can order an MCBase versi-
  21. on to:
  22.  
  23. - 1) Use 8086 processor instructions (IBM XT-compatible, this
  24.      is the standard version).
  25.  
  26. - 2) Use 80x86 processor instructions for IBM AT (or higher)
  27.      compatibles.
  28.  
  29. - 3) Use protected mode (only for 80386 processor or better).
  30.  
  31. (Remark: 8087/80x87 co-processors are always supported and are
  32. emulated if not physically present).
  33.  
  34.  
  35. The two "user levels", mentioned in the pricing schedule,
  36. indicate the users participation in the MCBase-project: 
  37.  
  38. - A) You can purchase a "BASIC" registration, which will get
  39.      you a 25% discount on future updates.
  40.  
  41. -B)  You can purchase a "DEDICATED" registration, with which
  42.      you get a 70% (!) discount on future updates. 
  43.      By purchasing a "DEDICATED" registration, you become, in
  44.      a way, a participant in the project. By supplying additi-
  45.      onal funds, you are giving me the opportunity to further
  46.      develop MCBase to a higher level. As a compensation, you
  47.      will receive the 70% discount on all future versions.

  71. REGISTERING (buying) MCBASE allows you to use the product
  72. after the trial period of 30 DAYS.

  74. REGISTERED MCBASE USERS get the most recent version of MCBASE
  75. on disk, along with their own serial number, compiled with the
  76. ordered compiler options for machine specific support, if any.
  77. A manual is included on disk as a textfile.
  78.  
  79. REGISTERED MCBASE USERS also receive notification of major
  80. MCBASE updates and can receive those updates with significant
  81. discount (see pricing schedule).
  82.  
  83. REGISTRED MCBASE USERS can receive maintenance updates for
  84. shipping costs only. (NOTE: CompuServe users can receive their
  85. maintenance update through CompuServe mail, minimizing the
  86. need for shipping costs, thus FOR FREE! Non-CompuServe users
  87. can also download a maintenance update from my private host
  88. system, wich is standby on request, FOR FREE!).

  90. REGISTERED MCBASE USERS can request CUSTOMIZED VERSIONS of the
  91. MCBASE software. (The price for a modification is related to
  92. the nature of this modification).
  93.  
  94. REGISTERED MCBASE USERS have priority when questions might
  95. occur. Product support is available (through the use of postal
  96. mail, e-mail or fax) for an unlimited period of time.
  97.  
  98. Most importantly, REGISTERED MCBASE USERS know they are hel-
  99. ping to keep SHAREWARE "low-cost / good-quality"-software
  100. alive.

  102. NOTE: You can register using the orderform below OR you can
  103. use CompuServe's software registration database (GO SWREG).
